History of Faculty of Education






Vision, Mission, Objectives, Identity and Philosophy: The cornerstone of VRU


1946 The Faculty of Education launched the Certificate Program in Education.

1970 The Faculty of Education launched the Certificate of Higher Education.

1971 The Faculty of Education launched the Certificate of Primary Education.

1972 All student teachers were moved to study at Pecthburiwittayalongkorn Teacher Training College.

1975 All Teacher Training college were upgraded based on the royal act as a result of having the bachelor degree in teacher training colleges.

1978 The Faculty of Education launched the Bachelor Degree (2-year-program) for the first time.

1979 There were training programs for teacher and educational personnel on both of the Certificate of Higher Education and Bachelor Degree.

1980 The Faculty of Education stopped to recruit students for the Certificate of Higher Education program but recruited students for the Bachelor Degree (4-year-program) instead.

1985 The Faculty of Education stopped to recruit students for Certificate of Higher Education depending on the government policy which did not want the institutes to train student teachers lower than the Bachelor Degree.

1986 The Faculty of Education started to launch to the education management program for regular personnel (Bachelor Degree for 2-year-program)

1987 The Faculty of Education started Gurudhayadha Teacher Preparation Project. This project required smart students who had good behavior and faith in teaching profession, to become teachers according to the needs of the Office of the National Primary Education Commission.

2000 The Faculty of Education has administered all student teacher programs.

Vision

The faculty of Education, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage is the role model of institute of education for developing human potential by focusing on the principle of sufficient economy, philosophy and create the new innovation for local developing to sustainability and prosperity.


Mission

1. To level up, effectively produce and develop qualified teachers and qualified human potential by learning management process, productive learning and create civil state network for local developing and focus on the principle of the sufficient economy philosophy.

2. To develop researches and innovations to meet the need of local solving problems and to be as a model for one that can use this model for improving the quality of life and local strength.

3. To cooperate between university and stakeholder in order to develop the university engagement and publish the Royal Projects to extend the concrete best practices to the local people.

4. To promote religious, art and culture, and create learning cultural consciousness. To conserve, restore, and inherit the Thai culture heritage, and to develop local cultural management system for continuing to creative economy.

5. To develop an excellent management system and good governance as a model of sustainable university.

Objectives

1. To be good quality of graduated student, critical thinking skills, lifelong learning and have a creative potential to meet the need of country development.

2. To develop researches and innovation to help promote of local strengthen problems in order to create Thailand stability, prosperity and sustainability.

3. People can live by following the principle of sufficiency economy, strengthen community economy, happy life and increase people revenue.

4. Graduated students and stakeholders have a good moral, ethics conserve the cultural heritage and understand each other in multicultural context.

5. To be a good quality university, good governance to meet the need of the country and people acceptance in the nationwide strategy.
